What we can move to Guardhouse
Updated October 25, 2026
We rebuild most small-business and nonprofit sites. Some features carry over as they are. Some we replace with something simpler. A few we cannot move. Here is the plain-English list.
Carries over as it is
- Your pages, text, photos, and logo.
- Your page titles and descriptions, so your Google ranking stays put.
- Embedded tools. Things you paste in from another service keep working. Examples: a Calendly or Acuity booking box, a Mailchimp signup, a Givebutter, Donorbox, or Zeffy donate button, and PayPal buttons.
- Your domain. We help you move it. Your email stays where it is.
We replace it with something that works the same
- Contact forms. If your form comes from a WordPress plugin (WPForms, Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, Ninja Forms, Formidable, or forms inside Elementor), we replace it with a Guardhouse form. It sends messages to the same inbox. See Forms, donations, and newsletters.
- Plugin-based donation buttons. If you use GiveWP or Charitable, we swap them for an embed from Givebutter, Donorbox, or Zeffy.
- Page builder layouts. If you use Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, or Oxygen, we rebuild the pages by hand to look the same. This takes a little more work, and we take that into account.
- SEO plugins. Yoast, Rank Math, and All in One SEO are not needed. We carry over your titles and descriptions.
We take a closer look first
Some sites need a person to review them before we quote a final price:
- Event calendars (like The Events Calendar or Events Manager). We count how many events you have.
- Sites in more than one language.
- Newsletter plugins that live inside WordPress (for example MailPoet), rather than an embedded signup form.
- Donation plugins, as described above.
On the report, these show a price marked as an estimate. We confirm it after we review.
What we do not move
We cannot move these today:
- Online stores. WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, and any site with a cart and checkout.
- Member logins. Membership sites, online courses, and anything where visitors sign in to see content (MemberPress, LearnDash, Paid Memberships Pro, Ultimate Member, and similar).
- Booking systems built into WordPress. Plugins like Bookly, Amelia, and Simply Schedule Appointments. An embedded booking tool like Calendly or Acuity is fine.
If your site has one of these, we will say so honestly in your report. You may still be able to keep the store or login area on a separate service and link to it from your new site. Talk to us at hello@useguardhouse.com.
Not on WordPress?
Our check also recognizes Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, Drupal, Joomla, GoDaddy Website Builder, and Weebly. Those sites do not have the same patching worries as WordPress. You are welcome to ask us about moving anyway.
Not sure?
Run the free site check. It lists what we found and what that means for you.
